This workshop was organized as part of the research project Metaphilosophy <\/em>of the Croatian Science Foundation (IP-2022-2550) which tries to answer the question “What is philosophy?” by discussing its nature and methodology. The workshop aimed to create a space for dialogue between philosophers working on themes that are relevant for answering the previously mentioned research question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop featured a keynote lecture delivered by Professor Timothy Williamson who is a Senior Research and Teaching Fellow in Philosophy and Emeritus Wykeham Professor of Logic at the University of Oxford. The title of his lecture was “Essences, Heuristics, and Metaphysical Illusions”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop successfully advanced the goals outlined by the project, strengthened international networks, and laid the groundwork for further collaboration among the research group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
