This workshop was organized as part of the research project Metaphilosophy of the Croatian Science Foundation (IP-2022-2550) which tries to answer the question “What is philosophy?” by discussing its nature and methodology. The workshop aimed to create a space for dialogue between philosophers working on themes that are relevant for answering the previously mentioned research question.
The workshop featured a keynote lecture delivered by Professor Timothy Williamson who is a Senior Research and Teaching Fellow in Philosophy and Emeritus Wykeham Professor of Logic at the University of Oxford. The title of his lecture was “Essences, Heuristics, and Metaphysical Illusions”.
The workshop successfully advanced the goals outlined by the project, strengthened international networks, and laid the groundwork for further collaboration among the research group.
