ANNOUNCEMENT: Workshop 12 of the MetPhil project

The team of the MetPhil project (Croatian Science Foundation IP-2022-10-2550) is pleased to announce the twelfth workshop in the series.

The workshop will be held on Thursday, October 16th at 18.00 CET over the Zoom platform.

The topic of the workshop will be a talk given by Professor Mark Balaguer who is Regular Faculty at the Department of Philosophy, California State University, Los Angeles. The title of the talk is “How to Be a One-Thinger“. In it Balaguer will defend a position called 3D-one-thingism, the view that there are no such things as coincident or 4D objects. He will do this by developing a novel theory of reference which he calls Names Follow Properties (NFP).

This workshop will consist of a presentation followed by a moderated discussion. We kindly invite participants to actively engage in a dialogue regarding the topic of each presentation and to contribute perspectives from their respective fields of study.

Those interested to participate in this workshop can send their request to the email address metafilozofija@gmail.com and they will receive the Zoom link (please introduce yourself while writing the request).

We look forward to your participation in what promises to be a productive and interesting workshop.
